Quality and Certification

URAI was one of the first companies in Italy to obtain ISO 9001 certification.

Since 1995 this Quality Management System has been certified by the CERTIQUALITY Institute for the following activities:

• Sale of chemical products
• Sale, service assistance and repair of laboratory equipment

As a member of AssICC – Italian Association of Chemical Trade, URAI is bound to respect the Code of Ethics of the Association, which in effect becomes the Code of Ethics of our company.

URAI joined the Responsible Care Program promoted by AssICC in 1998. This initiative, concerning the chemical distribution sector, promotes and implements a system of continuous improvement aimed at the safety and health of employees, customers, suppliers, people and environmental protection.

As part of the Responsible Care program, URAI participates in the S.E.T. – Emergency Transport Service – which allows 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to provide, in real time, all the necessary information for an effective management regarding eventual emergencies related to road accidents or any other cause.

Sustainability and CSR Certification

Since April 2020 URAI has decided to join EcoVadis certification and strengthen its commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

EcoVadis is the world’s leading provider of business sustainability assessments and collaborative performance improvement tools for the global supply chain.

In the evaluation process, URAI was able to implement the four pillars of EcoVadis assessment: environment, work and human rights, ethics and sustainable purchasing, reaching the EcoVadis Silver rating in 2023.
